This week I sent out some emails advising various musicians of recent updates to the SingAboutScience.org song database and asking them to report corrections and changes to me. I got some nice replies complimenting me on the database, etc., but was also surprised to hear that the Banana Slug String Band has uploaded ALL of their science/environmental albums — Adventures on the Air Cycle, Dirt Made My Lunch, Goin’ Wild, La Tierra y el Mar, Penguin Parade, Singing in Our Garden, Slugs at Sea, and their brand-new release Only One Ocean — to bandcamp.com for listeners to enjoy for free (and purchase if they wish). This is great news for fans of science songs for younger students (say ages 6-10). I’ve always had a soft spot for slugs…. Thanks to the BSSB for making these 101 songs available!
