A few quick links

• The Art of Science Learning blog has posted a very informative entry called The Art of Scientific and Technological Innovations. As Robert Root-Bernstein writes, “Arts don’t just prettify science or make technology more aesthetic; they often make both possible.”

• We’ve previously mentioned the USA Science & Engineering Festival’s science song contest, but the original contest rules were quite restrictive, not allowing the winners to reuse their winning entries for any other purpose. However, festival organizers Lauren Raymond and Larry Bock were extremely receptive to my feedback about this and have adjusted the rules accordingly. Those who were reluctant to enter the contest before may wish to check out the revised rules.

• Another edition of Wendy Silk’s “Earth, Water, Science and Song” course at UC-Davis is in the books, and some musical highlights have been posted to the HearUBEST channel of YouTube.
